Directions

This is rural West Wales and technology doesn’t always work quite the way we’d like it to!  The chances are that your Sat Nav will get you almost to us, but not right to our front door.

Entering our postcode on Google Maps for example will put you about ½ mile north of Hendre Eyon.  Also, the roads locally can be very narrow.  Not single track, but two caravans (or a tractor plus anything) is a tight squeeze and there are frequently cyclists and walkers, as well as farm vehicles.

Route one

Preferred route for towing caravans

Route 1 from Haverfordwest
  1. When you approach the main roundabout before entering Haverfordwest, take the A40 RIGHT towards Fishguard.

  2. Follow the Bypass all the way around Haverfordwest. At the final roundabout turn RIGHT towards Fishguard.

  3. Follow this road until you reach the village of Letterson, take the main LEFT in the centre of the village towards Mathry.

  4. At the end of this road turn LEFT -  turning south on the A487 towards St Davids.

  5. When you enter St Davids continue past the Premier Inn and take the RIGHT by The Rugby Club, signposted Whitesands, Llanrhian and Porthgain. Remain on this road, ignoring the turning to Whitesands on your left continuing along this road for about 2 miles, passing through the hamlet of Rhodiad y Brenin.

  6. About half a mile after Rhodiad you will come to the entrance to Hendre Eynon on the RIGHT (you can't miss it).

Route two

Route 2 from Haverfordwest
  1. Follow the A487 ALL THE WAY into St Davids passing by the broad expanse of Newgale Beach and the pretty village of Solva (both worth visiting).

  2. Just as you arrive into St Davids you'll come across a roundabout. Go RIGHT here and take the road to the end where you need to turn LEFT onto the A487 as if you were going back into St Davids. This means you don't have to negotiate the tiny streets of the City.

  3. Shortly after, take your first RIGHT by The Rugby Club, taking the road signposted Whitesands, Llanrhian and Porthgain. Remain on this road, ignoring the turning to Whitesands on your left continuing along this road for about 2 miles, passing through the hamlet of Rhodiad y Brenin.

  4. About half a mile after Rhodiad you will come to the entrance to Hendre Eynon on the RIGHT (you can't miss it).

  5. PLEASE NOTE - Whilst this route is the most direct, it includes a 1:6 hill at Newgale, and another steep and narrow hill through Solva.
